Between Mugello and Valdisieve: a land to discover
In this small corner of Tuscany, where the Mugello valley ends and the Valdisieve begins, where the Comano and Sieve rivers flow together, lies Dicomano.
Dicomano is a delightful village located near the green Tuscan Appennines in the middle of an unspoilt territory far away from industrial settlements and noisy streets.
The territory of Frascole overlooks the town of Dicomano, gently sloping hills and small valleys that in turns slowly rise from the 350 m.s.l. at the Pieve di S. Jacopo to the 470 m.s.l at the Castello del Pozzo to then continue uphill to meet the Apennines.
On a small terrace that overlooks the Sieve valley the agricultural estate Frascole is located. Our family-owned and operated farm creates excellent Chianti Rufina DOC red wines and extra-virgin olive oil.
We also offer visitors the opportunity of staying at our estate in one of five beautiful apartments and making it the base for your holidays in Tuscany.
The small village has Medieval origins, built upon previous Etruscan and Roman buildings amid vineyards and olive groves. In the first half of the 1990s, the houses started undergoing renovation. We now live in two of these homes, while the rest are offered as holiday accommodation to anyone wishing to stay in the Tuscan countryside among locals.
